The
AirSource
Mobile" is a
filter-less
mobile air
purifier
that reduces
airborne
microbials
as well as
odors and
gases. It can be used
to purify up
to 300
square feet
(28 square
meters) of
air in
homes,
offices,
cubicles,
hotel rooms,
cars and
other
locations
outside the
home where
indoor air
contaminants
exist. It
helps to
freshen your
closets too.

Learn About
Indoor Air
Pollution
We spend so
much time in
our home,
office, car,
hotel rooms
and other
places
outside our
home where
indoor air
contaminants
lurk. With
every breath
unhealthy
indoor air
exposes you
and your
family to:
Microbials:
Includes three major types of organism: bacteria, protozoa and fungi/mold. Most of these contaminants rely on a humid and moist environment for growth and survival. Some molds can produce certain chemicals, such as mycotoxins and Volatile Organic Compound (VOCs). Microbial are often thriving in air conditioning ducts and vents.
Odors And Gases:
Indoor gases, such as benzene, formaldehyde, and hydrogen sulfide, are released from furniture, carpets, hair sprays, cleaning chemicals, insulation, and pesticides. Gases include VOCs which evaporate into the air easily. Odors are often made up of VOCs or other gases.
In light of
ever-increasing
temperature,
we are
sealing our
homes and
buildings
with better
window,
insulation
and
moldings.
When homes
and other
buildings
are sealed,
contaminants
can build
up, such as
mold in the
ductwork. As
air passed
through
these ducts,
the mold –
along with
chemicals
given of by
paints,
cleaners,
glues,
pressed
board
furniture,
pesticides,
and of
course,
cigarette
smoke – is
pick up and
circulated
throughout
the
structure
without ever
being
“cleaned”.
Do You Know:
According
to
the
World
Health
Organization
(WHO),
40%
of
all
buildings
are
serious
hazard
to
our
health
because
of
their
polluted
air.
U.S.
Environmental
Protection
Agency
(EPA)
studies
indicate
that
indoor
levels
of
air

may
be
2-5

than

High
levels
of
indoor
air
pollutants
may
be
of
particular
concern
because
most

spend
up
to
90%

AirSource

uses
patented
technology
–
Photohydroionization™*
to
effectively
reduce
indoor
air
pollution.
Photohydroionization™*
The AirSource Mobile™ uses a powerful combination of ultraviolet (UV) light and a Tri-metallic Catalyst in its Photohydroionization™* Module. The proprietary Photohydroionization™* process is a complicated chemical chain of events that leads to the production of particular oxidizing or “cleansing” ions. Ultraviolet light strikes the Tri-metallic Catalyst target and starts the advanced oxidation process. Electrons are made available to react with oxygen, ozone, and a small amount of moisture in the air at the surface of the Tri-metallic Catalyst. Superoxide ions and hydroperoxides are created and serve as “cleansing” ions that treat the air by reducing:

Replacement
Module
The Replacement Module is intended for use 24 hours a day for a period of one year. After approximately one year, the unit will no longer reduce odors and microbes as efficiently and the Module should be replaced. By replacing the Module, your AirSource Mobile™ air purifier will continue to reduce two major forms of air pollution: odors & gases like cigarette smoke, animal odors, smelly sports and camping equipment, plus fumes constantly escaping from carpets, upholstery, drapes, cleaning materials, and more; microbials: microscopic bacteria, fungi, and mold that can thrive in heating and air-conditioning ducts and vents.
AirSource
Mobile™
Harness
The AirSource Mobile™ Harness can be used to carry your AirSource Mobile™ from your vehicle to home, office, dorm, or hotel room. The convenient harness is designed to hang over the back of the headrest in your vehicle.

The Mobile
unit was
tested for
the
reduction of
various
odors,
including
those from:
Pets
Fragrances
Cleaners
Mildrews
and
mold
Tobacco
smoke
In the blind
study*, 10
panelists
were asked
to rate the
intensity of
the odor in
the test
chamber both
at the start
of the test,
and then
after 24
hours with
the unit off
or after 24
hours with
the unit
operating.
The
difference
in the
intensity of
the odor at
the
beginning of
the test is
compared to
the
intensity at
the end of
the 24-hour
period.
Results
The
odor
reduction
scale
for
this
test
is
based
on a
10-point
scale,
where
10
represents
an
intense
odor
and
0
represents
no
odor
noticed.

Test
Reduction
of
Microbiological
Contaminants
Bacteria,
Mold,
and
Yeast
A 10-day control study was performed to make sure the dosing method provided a consistent challenge of mold and bacteria in the test chamber. The experimental study then included an additional 4-day unit off period to reestablish the control average. This was then compared to the experimental 7-day study with the unit operating.
Results
At the
end of
the
7-day
test,
the
reduction
of
bacteria
was 68%
and the
reduction
of mold
was 70%.

Styrene
is a
very
common
plastic,
such as
polystyrene,
and is a
component
of other
plastics.
In
addition,
it is
used in
a number
of other
common
products,
such as
cosmetics,
personal
care
products,
adhesives,
lubricants,
paint,
rubber,
and
miscellaneous
housewares.
Of these
products,
paint
has the
highest
emission
rate for
styrene
at 33.50
µg/g as
reported
by the
EPA. The
EPA also
reports
the
range of
concentration
in a
home to
be from
0.02 to
as high
as 12.7
ppb.
Styrene
can be
irritating
to one’s
eyes and
mucous
membranes,
and in
high
concentrations
it can
be a
narcotic.
In a
test,
the
Mobile
unit
reduced
the
initial
styrene
challenge
of 37
ppb down
to 3 ppb
after 8
hours
(compared
with the
control
which
went
from 36
ppb to
19 ppb
after
the same
amount
of time
without
the unit
operating).
This
indicates
a 44%
greater
reduction
than the
control.
d-Limonene
d-Limonene
is a
common
additive
to
cleaners
and air
fresheners
and is
used in
some
personal
care
products
and
housewares.
It can
be
irritating
to eyes,
mucous
membranes,
and
skin.
In a
test,
the
Mobile
unit
reduced
the
initial
d-Limonene
challenge
of 25
ppb down
to less
than 1
ppb
after 8
hours
(compared
with the
control
which
went
from 24
ppb to
15 ppb
after
the same
amount
of time
without
the unit
operating).
This
indicates
a 62%
greater
reduction
than the
control.
